Introducing our new French translation intern for spring 2020

We’re delighted to introduce our new French intern, Gautier Meister, who is joining us from Dijon in France. Gautier has a BA in Applied Languages from the University of Burgundy – the final year he spent at the Royal Holloway University of London – and is now working towards an MA in Multimedia Translation.

With us for the next four months, Gautier is fast becoming an integral part of our in-house French team. His MA studies have seen him working on professional projects in translation, localisation and subtitling which means he already has a good understanding of CAT tools and term bases – a fantastic knowledge base to build on during his time in Newquay and which also makes him a great addition to our team.

Gautier speaks French, English and Spanish, with Japanese next on the list to learn – no German though, despite the family name. To relax, Gautier loves to cook, and when he’s not cooking, he’s watching videos about cooking! He loves watching videos in general, Japanese anime in particular, and sending memes, and he’ll certainly be trying his hand at surfing while he’s in Newquay – once the weather improves!
