For the last three years, we have been running a recruitment campaign each summer, inviting newly graduated translators to join our company as in-house junior translators. This year, we are thrilled to welcome Alicia Pretot to our team.
Alicia grew up near Besançon in the French region of Franche-Comte. She completed her Master’s degree in translation at the Institut de Traducteurs, d’Interprètes et de Relations Internationales in Strasbourg where she graduated in 2016. Since then, she has been spending time in Wiltshire, England, working as a freelance translator as well as a teaching assistant helping GCSE students in preparation for their French exams.
With a specialisation in technical and literary translation, Alicia is interested in new technologies as well as arts, and in her spare time she enjoys illustrating and writing. Having already visited Cornwall in the past, living and working here is an exciting new chapter for Alicia and she looks forward to revisiting her favourite places (the Eden Project and St Ives to name but a few) as well as exploring more out of the way treasures and hiking paths.
